Alphawood located at 23 Mount Baker Road, Mount View which is in the Hunter Valley. The only noise you will hear is lots of bellbirds.

Kumdibar (1898) is a breathtakingly beautiful example of early Federation architecture lovingly revived to its former grandeur, nestled among 2,934m2 (approx) of impeccably manicured formal grounds, complete with a championship sized tennis court and pool.

Had fun photographing the luxurious Willow Tree Estate in the Hunter Valley last month. Big enough to accommodate up to 40 people and a mob of the local kangaroos.

Just finished post production on 4 locations of The City Group Rooms which supply facilities for focus groups. Difficult shoot with complex lighting setups and lots of multiple exposures for mirrors, windows and dark rooms. Post production took longer than expected but very happy with the results.

Photographed Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat in Upper Crystal Creek in the Tweed Valley in Northern NSW over the holiday period. Fabulous, relaxing spot - stunning location combined with the amazing culinary skills of Chef Paul Catto and host Craig Holland.

The Wellness Room

Built in 1845, Bronte House is one of the oldest houses in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, a great example of architecture in the picturesque style. Fabulous gardens created by Leo Schofield.

This stunning home is set on 120 acres with spring fed rainforest creeks and a rainforest track through the subtropical rainforest to a spectacular 30m waterfall.

Built in East Lindfield in the early 1940s for the then Meadow Lea Margarine Company sales manager James Armstrong, the home is set on a large corner parcel of land amid beautifully sculpted gardens with a pool and tennis court.

Features of the two level home include four large bedrooms, five preserved art deco bathrooms, an office with a concealed wet bar, gym and a 2,500 bottle temperature-controlled wine cellar and wine room

A new kitchen and living rooms were added by the current owner Mr Kalanderian approximately 4 years ago.

Fabulous apartment in the centre of Sydney to be sold by Christies  Right next to Centrepoint Tower with interesting architectural detail. Weather was giving us some problems but managed to work around it.

I photographed "Altona" in Point Piper a year or so ago which got sold for approximately $52 million ( the most expensive sale at the time). Huge property on the water - I'd be very happy to live in just the boathouse. Sad to read in the Sydney Morning Herald that it may be demolished to make way for a shiny new property.

The beautiful village on Dangar Island on the Hawkesbury River. Catch a ferry or little tinny to get to this paradise a short drive from Sydney. Great fun to shoot.

Great design by Tip Top Kitchens. Modern and sleek with a splash of colour.

This is an example of the type of work that typically goes into a night shot.

The sky is actually real and was shot on the night, however with careful blending in Photoshop, the density gets changed and dropped in, the interiors get colour balanced and glass reflections removed, the next door neighbour's house gets darkened so it's not as overwhelming. As usual, pool cleaners get removed.

What an amazing place! I loved the location (in the Blue Mountains on the outskirts of Sydney) and what a great architectural conversion from a previous commercial space. Jeff from Norton Homes which is based in Kurrajong Heights, is an amazing builder and had some serious issues to deal with on this build (including having to chainsaw slots into the timber to fit the gyprock walls into) The build took almost 3 years to complete. Check out the first images. (loved the bellbirds singing throughout the shoot by the way) Possible HIA award winner? What do you think?

Don't forget to start organising your photography now if you're entering the HIA awards this year. The HIA has already sent out the early bird reminders. If you're organising access at your previous builds you may want to think about offering the owners a free clean. This makes sure the home will look it's best for the shoot.  Puts you in their good books as well ! Some of my clients even put together hardcover books using the photography  as a gift for the owners as a show of appreciation. Using services such as Blurb, it's cost effective and a good way to promote your brand to the owner's friends.
